☀️ Welcome

Habitat ReBUILD LA Hospitality Volunteers

Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church (PPPC) and other Palisades houses of worship are coordinating a hospitality tent at PPPC, 15821 Sunset Blvd, during Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles' ReBUILD LA Community Build, Wed-Sat, Sept 23-26, 2026.

This sign-up is for volunteers who would like to help staff the hospitality tent at the PPPC site.

Volunteer Duties

Hospitality only: Volunteers will welcome Habitat participants and distribute water, beverages, and individually packaged snacks. Hospitality volunteers will not be participating in construction work.

Hospitality Dates:

Wed, Sep 23 (setup); Thu, Sep 24 and Fri, Sep 25

Habitat currently expects the greatest need on Thurs and Friday. We will help setup the hospitality tent on Wed morning. For now, there is no expectation for hospitality on Saturday.

Shifts: Choose the shift that works best for you. To keep the site manageable, each shift will be limited to at most 10 hospitality volunteers.

Shift Times:

Wed: Morning (9-11 am)
Thurs / Fri: Morning (9-Noon), Afternoon (Noon-3p)
Sat: none

Responsibilities include:

Greeting Habitat volunteers and helping provide directions
Keeping water, beverages, and snacks stocked
Helping maintain a clean and welcoming hospitality area
Assisting with other hospitality needs as they arise
Flexibility is appreciated, as needs may change throughout the day.

How to Sign Up

Click the blue Register button at the top of this page to begin. You'll be asked to:

Enter your email address and follow the prompts to begin your registration.
Choose your volunteer shift(s). Scroll through the available shifts and click the ✓ checkmark for each shift you would like to work. When you select a shift, you'll automatically be marked Attending for the overall event. You may sign up for more than one shift.
Click Next after making your selections. You'll be asked a few brief questions before reviewing and completing your registration.
Complete your sign-up. Follow the remaining prompts until you reach the confirmation screen. You'll also receive a confirmation by email.

Please note: This registration is only for hospitality volunteers serving at the PPPC site. You do not need to register separately with Habitat.

Additional Details

Location: All hospitality shifts take place in the Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church parking lot, 15821 Sunset Blvd, which will serve as a local Habitat staging area and local hospitality and support site.

No separate Habitat registration needed: If you're volunteering only for hospitality at the PPPC site, this sign-up is all you need. We'll coordinate our volunteer list directly with Habitat.

Parking: Local volunteers may park in the neighborhood. Additional nearby parking information will be provided as plans are finalized.

What we'll provide: PPPC will provide the hospitality tent, water, beverages, and individually packaged snacks. You do not need to bring food unless specifically asked.

Safety: Volunteers should generally remain at the hospitality tent and outside Habitat's active work areas. Volunteers may occasionally help distribute bottled water to workers when appropriate.

Church contacts: Pastor Grace, Pastor Matt, David Wood, and Will Saunders will help coordinate the PPPC hospitality effort and will be available during the event.
