Celebrate Pirates’ Day with the Oceanaires!
Ahoy, mateys! Join the Oceanaires A Cappella Chorus for our annual Ice Cream Social, this year with a swashbuckling Pirates’ Day theme. Spend the afternoon enjoying live a cappella music, plenty of ice cream, and a fun, relaxed gathering for the whole family.
The Oceanaires will take the stage with a lively program of four-part harmony, along with performances by quartets and our special guest, 99, a Region 11 quartet medalist. Come dressed in your pirate best if the spirit moves you, bring your family and friends, and enjoy an afternoon of music and community.
The fun begins at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1257 Centinela Ave., Santa Monica. Donations are accepted at the door. Come for the harmony, stay for the ice cream, and help us celebrate Pirates’ Day Oceanaires-style!
Admission is free! The Oceanaires is a nonprofit organization, and donations help support our music and activities throughout the year. While no admission fee is required, we gratefully accept donations at the event, with a suggested donation of $25 per person. Come enjoy an afternoon of great harmony, good company, and plenty of ice cream while supporting the Oceanaires!
Space is limited, and we expect this year’s Ice Cream Social to sell out. Click the Register button at the top of this page to reserve your spot. We encourage you to sign up early! You can also include additional family members and friends in the same registration, making it easy to bring your whole crew along.

The chorus and a few selected quartets will perform popular and traditional songs in the barbershop style. The performance will be followed by ice cream and opportunities to meet the singers.
Admission is free as a gift to the community, but donations are welcome.
